After watching the Academy Awards Pre-Show with talk on fashion, penguins, monkeys in pink dresses, an of course actors and actresses, from 11:00-5:30, I think I got a pretty good outlook on the fashion of this years Academy Awards. I thought I should do a blog post to capture some of my all time favorite red carpet dresses and outfits. After all, my biggest dream is to become a fashion stylist.
1.My all time favorite dress and styled outfit that was on the red carpet was worn by Angelina Jolie. My dream dress is a humongous velvet dress, and when I saw her dress I literally almost fainted. If you know anything about me, you know that one of my favorite obsessions in life is velvet. From fabric to cake. Anyway, back to the dress... It was a Versace (OMG IT WAS VERSACE?!?! I WANT TO MARRY THIS DRESS) dress and it was styled perfectly with red lips and Angelina Jolie's leg. (apparently there is a twitter page on her leg...)
2. Another amazing dress was worn by Jessica Chastain. It was a gorgeous McQueen dress styled with perfection.
3. Another beautiful dress by Tadashi Shoji that caught my eye was worn by Octavia Spencer. She walked down the red carpet in a sparkled white dress.
4. Michelle Williams wore a gorgeous coral dress by Louis Vuitton...with a peplum. (I learned what a peplum was while watching the Pre-Show for around five hours.) I have come to like peplums, to the point where I kind of want a dress with a peplum.
5. Another stunning white dress which was worn by Rooney Mara also caught my eye. It was a dress by Givenchy and it was just perfect.
There were many other stunning dressed but these were some of my favorites. Oh yeah, the Academy Awards were great too. :)
